Today I would like to share with you one of our weddings on the italian lakes. The peculiarity of this marriage is that it took place not on one, but rather on two lakes: Lake Orta and Lake Maggiore.
This lovely couple, coming from the U.S., was impressed by both lakes on their first visit in Italy . It was really difficult to choose between the enchanted atmosphere of the old village Orta San Giulio, the amazing view from the Sacro Monte Church, the charm of the belle époque villas on Lake Maggiore shores and the elegance of their gardens brimming with camellias, azaleas and rhododendros. So why not surprising their guests with a day trip on this two beautiful lakes?

The weather was really good and it was not so hot, the view from the terrace outside the Church was breathtaking: the deep blue of the lake, the picturesque San Julius island, the alps as background, an amazing location for a wedding in Italy. And which wedding color was more appropriate if not the blue?

After the ceremony the guests enjoed a walk on the Orta San Giulio village and than back to Lake Maggiore for a boat tour , before the welcome cocktail on  the italian gardens of the majestic 17th century villa.

We decorated the reception room with blue hydrangea hanging balls and hanging paper lanterns. Martini style vases with blue delphinium stood out on the elegant round tables. The cobalt blue color was present in every details from the  hanging escort cards to the favors tags. Everything  was combined with  the lake water and the wedding day sky.

It was a long day, but it was also a pleasure to work for this nice couple and to arrange a such beautiful wedding. Thanks also to Enrico and Roberto for capturing these magic moments.
